What is SistaKeeper?
SistaKeeper is a nonprofit organization that focuses on nurturing the inner spirit of our girls ages 8 to 18 to become positive women in our communities!

What is Poetic Justice 2nd Saturday’s/ and Free Yo Mind 1st Friday’s?
A circle of Sista’s with a purpose, they are girls’ ages 8-12 years old and 13 &up! A group of girls that pledge to be a SistaKeeper! They meet every 1st Friday of the month or 2nd Saturday of the month and focus on     Self-awareness, becoming a leader and nurturing their purpose through poetry, journaling, arts and crafts, sharing stories, and have fun interacting with other positive girls in a facilitated, structured, peaceful environment. Some of the girls become public speakers and speak out against community issues that plague our communities.

What is the Imani Principle?
Our SistaKeeper Pledge is to ourselves, our families and our community…

Is there a fee to become a SistaKeeper?
To become a SistaKeeper, the Membership fee is 50.00 a year, (scholarships are available for some families) this includes your T-Shirt, Membership card and 20% off all SistaKeeper Products, and the opportunity to participate in all community events. All of our circles are open to the public, if you are a member, the circles are free (non-members $5.00 a session). Our SistaKeeper Members are also offered discounted counseling sessions on an as needed basis.

Where are they held?
Sessions are held at the Imani Holistic Center, located at 14220 Old Halls Ferry Road Suite 201; (N HWY 67 & Old Halls Ferry Road). Imani Holistic Center is a WellnessCenter for Women and Children, where we offer individual & family counseling. Sistakeeper also offers speaking engagements, off-site circles, and workshops are available. Please refer to Sistakeeper website (www.sistakeeper.com) for further information. Why?
Because it is necessary! Research shows that girls that participate in gender specific circles, group mentoring programs are least likely to become teen mom’s, drop out of school, and become involved in negative activities, thus we are promoting and developing girls into positive role models that will mold our society. Breaking Cycles!!!
